Murrieta is a town located a short drive from San Diego, Orange County, and Riverside, California. Many people working in these areas are proud to call Murrieta home. Here, we will take a quick look at the history of this town. We will also try our best to use the most up-to-date demographics available to get a glimpse at the current population, as well as the town itself. The Past
For years, Murrieta was seen as one of the places in California to be. Up until 1935, the population of those actually living in the area was scarce, but there was plenty of tourism as people on trains flocked to see and use the area’s hot springs. Interstate 15 finally saw more people move into the area in the 1980s. People who had before called San Diego, Orange County, or Riverside home moved to the suburbs in Murrieta. Today, it is the largest city in the area.
Today’s Murrieta
Murrieta experiences mostly sunny days because of its climate. The population of around 103,466 is largely non-Hispanic white, although there is a large Hispanic population, as well. Most of the population was between the ages of 18 and 24. This town has also been named one of the safest cities in Riverside County. It is also home to two hospitals, as well as Calvary Chapel Bible College. Golfing and outdoor activities are both large tourist draws in the area, but most people seek entertainment in many of the surrounding towns just a bit away from the mostly suburban area.

As the city of Murrieta grows, so does its possibility. Although no one can make for sure predictions about the direction of this town, it can be safe to say that coming years should see an expansion of tourism in the area. The population will, no doubt, continue to rise due to the great area, the safety of the city, as well as the wonderful public services offered around town.
