Our ACT Tutoring program in Dana Point is by far the most specialized in Southern California and possibly even in the country. Our program is so different because of how and why the ACT Tutoring Program was written to begin with. What many people don’t realize is that every large ACT Tutoring company hires writers to put their large programs together. But are these writers in touch with the students' needs by working as ACT tutors in the past? Often times not! Believe it or not, many ACT Tutors in Dana Point use courses that are put together by the larger companies and are not written with the typical student in mind. These companies invest heavily in the look and feel of their course, while often times neglect investing critical attention to the minute, individualized details which our company focuses on. Unfortunately, more often than not, a student needs exactly that.
That is why Tier One Tutors was created, and is also why we've been so successful the last few years. The ACT Tutoring program was put together over a long period of time, and is based in part on actual ACT questions. Unlike every other ACT Tutor in Dana Point who wrote programs before they even knew what exactly was going to be on the new test, we pushed the money aside and strove for perfection. The fruit of our labor has finally shown through in our specialized and unique approach to the ACT!
The writers of our ACT Tutoring program are the two young, dynamic, and ambitious owners of Tier One Tutors, Steve Dorfman and Brian Mupo. Both of them have spent untold amounts of hours writing and developing this system. Their unique SAT and ACT programs are the backbone of Tier One Tutors which serves all of Southern California, including Dana Point.

Surfing City, USA: Dana Point
Dana Point is a fabulous little California community that consists mostly of beach front property along the coast, and is mostly composed of water. It is a fabulous spot for anyone to visit or call their home. Here, we will take a quick look at the history of Dana Point. We will also look at what the current population of Dana Point looks like, as well as the attractions in the area that lure tourists, visitors, and even those looking for a new place to live, whether year-round, or just during certain seasons.
Origins
The formation of the Dana Syndicate in the early 1920s let to the purchase of quite a bit of land in the area for resale. Years before that, however, this area was already in heavy use by those in the fur trade. Dana Point is home to one of the only natural harbors along the coast, and because of that was a center for trade in the early days of California. Richard Henry Dana, who the area is named after, thought it was one of the most beautiful pieces of coastline in all of the state. Dana Point experienced a population boom after the 1960s.
Population
According to the latest census data, most residents in this area are either White or Hispanic. Most are aged from 25 to 44 years old, and almost everyone lives in a household. The median age is around 45 years old, which is a bit older than average. The rental and owner rate of residences is nearly split evenly in half. Of the almost 70% of households are families dwelling under the same roof. Most families in the community are somewhere around 2.85 people large.
Attractions
Dana Point is a beautiful place to live. Not only are there plenty of beaches to satisfy residents, but there are also lots of trails, and surfing in the area. A few of the yearly events in the city may also be of interest. These include The Dana Point Grand Prix, a bike race, and The Festival of Whales. Another great reason to visit the area is The Tall Ships Festival, which is the largest of its kind in North America. Residence of the Orange County Community may also enjoy the Turkey Trot. The warm climate (it reaches a chilly average temperature of 60 degrees in December) also attracts many people.
